Bryan Costello

Founder and President

“What could be more rewarding than offering solutions to people going through the same struggles as my own. In my experience, it's the most wonderful feeling in the world."

Bryan Costello is a former pipe-fitter by trade and a problem-solver. As a pipe-fitter out of Local 73 working for Constellation Energy, he installed and maintained pipe systems for heating and cooling at nuclear power plants.

After losing his right leg in a 2011 motorcycle accident, Bryan was plagued by deep, searing pain in the residual stump that could only be eased by applying heat.

FAQ

How does the heated system work?

A PTC heater is laminated between both laminations of the carbon fiber socket during fabrication. The wireless battery snaps into a magnetic cradle on the socket — and the charging connection is magnetic too.

How long does the battery last?

About 4 hours of heat per charge.

How do I know when it's fully charged?

The LEDs stop blinking.

What's the difference between the wireless and secondary systems?

Wireless: the battery rides on the socket in its magnetic cradle, and can be taken off when not in use. Secondary: used for arms, battery in pocket.

How does the cooling system work?

Cooling tubing is laminated between both laminations of the carbon fiber socket. Just add ice and a little water to the metal pump — water circulates through the supply and return lines and cools in seconds. It may help reduce inflammation.

I have a vacuum system. Does it still work?

Yes — the battery simply drops lower on the socket.

Is it certified for use in Europe?

Yes — CE certified, VAT registered, shipped via the Netherlands and distributed by DHL.

What does a system cost, and what's included?

$1,700 per system, each with its own battery. Order through the store or contact us directly.
